Everything You Need To Know About Care and Maintenance of Pandora Jewellery

As the time progresses, many features of jewellery pieces begin to fade. Some tarnish, some fade, some break off, and a lot more issues. And when it comes to a unique piece of jewellery like Pandora, its care and maintenance should always be your top priority. Here’s everything you need to know about the same.

How to Care?

It is highly recommended that you should remove jewellery before you hit the bed. Exposure to harsh chemicals will compromise the integrity of your jewellery. Some factors like perspiration, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, salt water, and silver polish are also detrimental to the quality of your jewellery.

How to Clean?

Pour a little amount of mild soap in the lukewarm water and use a toothbrush with soft bristles to clean your jewellery. If the dirt is hard to remove, it is best to soak the genuine Pandora rings in the clean water. When it comes to daily cleaning of the leather, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Stains should be wiped off immediately before they soak or dry. Also, use a mild professional cleaner, minus chemicals. Make suds in a bowl and apply them to a soft cloth and wipe the leather. Lastly, wipe the leather dry and add a leather conditioner to protect it from further damage. Keep it away from direct sunlight.

How to Look After the Following Aspects?

  1. Oxidation

Oxidation is one of the most common wear and tear. When your Pandora jewellery is oxidised, do not use silver polishing liquid.

  1. Cultured Freshwater Pearls

Try to avoid exposing your cultured freshwater pearls from water, makeup, chemicals, and cleaning agent. It also cannot withstand silver polish as it may dull your pearls. Use a mild soap with lukewarm water instead. Clean your jewellery gently with your hands. Do not use a brush. Pat the jewellery dry and lay it flat until fully dry.

  1. Woven Fabric Choker

As the time passes, the choker necklace may change colour when subjected to water. Follow these instructions to keep your choker in pristine condition.

  • Prevent its contact from make-up, creams, and perfumes. Put these on before wearing the choker.
  • Keep it away from subjecting it to water and ultrasonic cleaning.
  • The sterling silver part of the jewellery should always be cleaned and looked after according to the standard Pandora guidelines.
